Lea Tauchen

Lea Tauchen most recently served as the vice president of administration and government affairs for the Retail Association of Nevada (RAN). Beginning with the 2005 Legislative Session, Lea has represented the business community in Nevada by advocating on public policy issues in the areas of employment, technology, energy, sustainability, theft/fraud, tort reform, alcohol/tobacco, taxation, and much more. She has provided expert testimony before local government bodies, state regulatory agencies, and state legislative committees. Before joining RAN, Lea was a district manager for General Motors Corporation in the San Francisco and Hawaii/Guam markets.

Lea earned a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Reno, with a dual emphasis in entrepreneurship and renewable energy. Her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration is also from Nevada, where she majored in Logistics Management and minored in Computer Information Systems. Professionally, she has received IOM recognition through the Institute for Organization Management, a professional development program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce known as the industry standard for association and chamber management.

Lea serves as Chair of the Washoe County Food Policy Council, Board Member of Secret Witness, member of the Reno-Tahoe Young Professionals Network, and volunteer for Join Together Northern Nevada.
